The Powell Engineering Inc. Shafted unwind is a simple solution to a common problem. A converter needs a roll handling solution without the complexity or expense of a shaftless machine. This simple unwind can be configured with your choice of safety chucks, roll shaft and method of tension control. The base model includes electric precision sidelay. The machine is equipped with a manual skew adjustment. Automatic edge guiding is available as an option. A wide range of roll sizes can be accommodated. Capacity is 3000 pounds, but may be limited by your shaft selection.
